I felt so out of depth when I sat down in my first french grammar seminar. People were whipping out the subjunctive like it was nothing. I really knuckled down after receiving my mock paper back and only getting 41% and wrote my own textbook on a word document. However, I realised that many other people would be asking the same questions that I did like; "what the fuck does the subjunctive being a mood and not a tense?"
